What to expect
Learn how to draw in a Japanese Anime / Manga style. During this workshop, you will learn how to draw characters in easy to follow steps.
If you struggle with drawing, you can also trace the examples that you will receive during this workshop. You will be able to take home the examples to continue to practice drawing at home.
This workshop will be at the Kreadoe convention in Utrecht. The tickers for Kreadoe are not included in the workshop price.
What is Anime / Manga
In Japan, comic books or graphic novels are called Manga and animations are called Anime. There are many styles within Anime and Manga. Some well-known series are Pokémon, Dragon Ball, One Piece and Demon Slayer. But there are many more.
During this workshop, you will learn how to draw the most common styles of Anime and Manga. But if you are eager to learn how to draw a specific character, just let me know, and I give you some tricks on how to draw them.

This workshop is for every level. If you find drawing difficult, you can even trace the examples. The important thing is to have fun!
Do I need to bring anything?

You don't have to bring anything. Art supplies are available during this workshop.
How long is the workshop?

The workshop is 30 to 40 minutes long.
What language is the workshop?

The workshop is in Dutch, but I can help in English as well. But most of the convention will be in Dutch as well.
What days and times are the workshops?

On Wednesday 1 November and Thursday 2 November. There will be 5 time slots. At 10:30, 11:30, 13:30, 14:30 and at 15:30. Full is full, so sign up soon to guarantee your spot!
About me
Hi, my name is Nanda van Dijk and I would be honored to help you strengthen your drawing skills!
I started drawing when I was a little kid, and I now work as a freelance illustrator and animator for commercials and feature films. Please visit the portfolio tap to see some of my animation and storyboard work.
Anime and Manga have always been a big inspiration for me, especially when I was drawing as a teenager. I was a big fan of Card Capture Sakura, Ranma ½ and all the movies by studio Ghibli.
The past two years, I've also worked at the Sint Joost school of Art as an Animation and Illustration teacher. I have helped many students elevate their drawing skills, and I am confident that I can teach you a couple of tricks as well!
